This is the famous DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) font

Used in the 70s and 80s for their products such as the pdp-11 line of microcomputers. It was created with a font, apparently, but what that font might be is lost to time. Perhaps - like so many of the early computer brand logos - Univac, Sperry Rand, it was hand-drawn.
